• Program Planning & Scheduling Support (MS Project, P3 et al)
• Cost Estimating & Control

• Earned Value Management Systems Implementation & Support

Applicants should be experienced in developing project plans, monitoring project performance, and providing accurate status reports. Positions require strong project management system technical and analytical skills with mid-level to high-level proficiency in using critical path and earned value methods. Only persons with hands-on Critical Path Method tool (MS Project, Artemis, P3, etc.) skills should apply. Additional experience with M-PM, wInSight, Cobra or other applications used in the management of projects should be highlighted in the cover letter and resume.

VWMG engagements typically interface with Client Senior Management and require strong verbal and written skills necessary to successfully communicate and manage client expectations. Applicants need moderate skills in using MS Office applications including, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

The selected candidates must possess an above average understanding of WBS, CPM, resource scheduling, and EVMS processes and methodologies. PMI PMP certification given consideration but is not necessary. Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants with highest level D.O.E. and D.O.D. clearance and experience in a project control environment will be given priority.

Senior Project Controls Consultant (Planning & Scheduling).  The ideal candidate must have experience in:

• Developing detailed activity based project schedules
• Monitoring project performance
• Providing accurate and timely schedule status updates
• Producing accurate and timely schedule status reports and narratives
• Interfacing with Control Account (CAM) and Program Managers (PM)
• Generating and Interpreting Earned Value (EV) reports

REQUIREMENTS (Only Qualified Candidates Need Apply)

• Minimum 5 years CPM Planning and Scheduling experience  - Candidate must have a high level of proficiency in detailed critical path method (CPM) schedule planning, development, and management including resource planning and allocation  - Only persons with hands-on CPM tool skills should apply
• Strong Verbal and Written skills - VWMG engagements typically interface with Client Senior Management and require strong communication skills to effectively manage client expectations
• Strong Project Management Skills (technical and analytical) coupled with a high-level of proficiency in CPM scheduling
• Above average skills in MS Office applications including: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint.
• Above average understanding of project planning & organization (WBS, OBS, RAM et al)

PREFERENCES

• Professional Certification - Project Scheduling Professional (PSP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience desirable
• B.S. or advanced degree in engineering preferred
• Aerospace experience desirable
